Go Wildcats—into a new space! Northwestern University plans to invest in the future of its sports teams by continuing to grow the Lakefront Athletics and Recreation Complex on its Evanston campus with a new, $220M sports complex, reports Curbed. The new Ryan Fieldhouse—designed by Perkins+Will and named for top donors Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan—will have a full-sized indoor athletic field and will include a large, indoor multi-purpose facility, portable seating for 1,000 spectators, three basketball courts, an indoor running track, locker rooms, sports medicine facilities and renovations to the nearby soccer and lacrosse fields.
