New designs were revealed for a condo project in Lakeview that’s been years in the works. The 19-story building at 2950 N Sheridan from Forman Realty, a division of Wirtz Realty Corp, would tower over the neighborhood’s classic architecture but is designed to lessen the impact on surrounding buildings while adding landscaping elements above and beyond what local ordinances require. The new plans for the building call for 82 condos and an attached parking structure with room for 113 parking spaces, according to Curbed. The Chicago Architecture Blog notes the original plans for the 214-foot tall building included 79 condos, 200 parking spaces, 50 bicycle parking spaces and a 3,818 SF green roof. The project has been in the works since 2008 but stalled due to the housing market collapse. [CurbedCA]
