| One cause will bring together many of Chicago's real estate giants next week as Grubb & Ellis' Steve Monroe, Golub's Mary Ellen Smith and Newmark Knight Frank's Richie Klein join forces to organize Memory Rocks Sept. 2. The event raises money for Alzheimer's research and will be held at Joe's on Weed Street (5:30-8:30 p.m.) featuring Golub's band Dr. Bombay. Steve started the event four years ago, after meeting a coworker's mother who had Alzheimer's; he was inspired to find others whose lives had been affected in the same way. They're expecting more than 350 people to attend and you can sign up here. Why not do it now? |
