Meet Your Org Execs: CCIM

Last week, you met CoreNet's fearless leader. And today we bring you CCIM Illinois chapter's wonder woman. (We've been reading a lot of superhero comics, hence the theme.)

Fresh off of CCIM's national meetings in Denver, CCIM Illinois is celebrating its 10 newest chapter members who sat for the national exam and all passed, chapter prez Polly Oczak Parchem tells us (snapped with her boys at "Serious Tower"). The Winner's Edge president came to CCIM on her first day in the business, when her dad, industry vet Ray Oczak, had her meet with three of the most successful female brokers in the industry. The consensus of the trio was to earn the coveted CCIM designation. She took her first class in '02 and was pinned in '07, all while juggling an active family life. Polly has served and leads the candidate guidance, sponsorship, and networking committees; joined the board as secretary; then worked her way up to today's leadership role.

As president, her mission is value creation and connecting people, and she loves to see CCIM deals across all asset classes come together. (Polly's center above, at a CCIM networking event earlier this year.) On the docket: the Black Diamond holiday event; CCIM's new University Alliance Program connecting and introducing students to commercial real estate; and the John Keepper Society of Past Presidents, with mentorship and scholarship programs. At Winner's Edge, Polly's been busy with 2k SF to 50k SF tenants and owners, small businesses who have weathered the storm and are now ready for expansion or a second location, she says. A mom to two boys (3 and 6), she is hooked on bikram hot yoga and often drags fellow CCIMs with her to sweat it out in 105 degrees, for 90 minutes. (That will sound a lot more appealing come February.)
