| Germany's ThyssenKrupp will open its office here this summer. In case it sounds familiar, it makes carbon steel, auto parts, elevators, escalators(umbrellas come separately), and passenger boarding bridges (we don't ever want to experience airports without these guys' influence). ThyssenKrupp got no incentives from the city, but Illinois is home to heavy equipment manufacturers that the firm can source, and nearby Michigan's got the car companies to buy ThyssenKrupp goodies. | ||
