Developing new outpatient centers  for each of the major health systems within their secondary and tertiary markets has become especially necessary, she says, like CBRE’s most recent project management gig for Edward Health Services, which involves immediate care centers and physician's offices. Julie spent most of her career working for both the private health system and healthcare consultants before joining CBRE last quarter. She says there are just a handful of independent doctors practicing now; most are joining larger medical groups in buildings specifically designed for medical office use.
