| Yesterday marked the last groundbreaking in Fifield Cos' K Station Development, and Randy and Steve Fifield celebrated with their kids (and also JV partner Wood Partners). In addition to watching the foundation be dug for their new 496-unit K2apartment building, the Fifields also accepted items for the K2 time capsule that will be buried in front of K2 and opened in 100 years. Donated time capsule items included the newspaper, the 2010 Stanley Cup pennant, and what we're hoping is not Steve's personal Blackberry (maybe he's upgrading to an iPhone). The building at 365 N Halsted is slated for completion in 2013. |
