EX-BORDERS SPACE GETS SCARY

We miss our neighborhood Borders store, but we're thrilled to hear it's going to be replaced by a new national retailer soon. Centrum Properties Rebecca Hawkinson says the Spirit Halloween Store that's popped up in the two-story-plus-basement location has been a great low-maintenanceway to occupy the space, but the lease is up at the beginning of November. Hopefully by then the new tenant can be announced and start buildout. Other Borders sites, including the North and Halsted location, have picked up similar temporary Halloween stores to alleviate vacancy. (If they have some old Borders uniforms they can sell them as ghost costumes.)
