Docs' New HQ in Schaumburg

The American Society of Anesthesiologists has purchased a vacant lot in northwest suburban Schaumburg to build a new 70k SF HQ. The site is in the thick of the suburb's office district and comes with a municipal helicopter landing pad next door (that's what the red windsock is there for). "Development sites for new office buildings is becoming more scarce as Schaumburg is nearing build out," Village of Schaumburg economic development manager Matt Frank tells Bisnow. But redeveloping older sites is still an option, he adds, and there are still some sizable office vacancies that need filling, such as at Windy Point II, 200 Martingale, and 1299 Algonquin.
