ConAgra Foods Relocating to Call Merchandise Mart Home

ConAgra Foods will get a new Chicago address after signing a lease to occupy 200k SF of space in the Merchandise Mart. The food conglomerate's lease at 215 W Diehl Rd in Naperville expires next March and its Chicago relocation comes on the heels of Kraft Heinz signing a lease for 170k SF at Aon Center last week. ConAgra's new CEO Sean Connolly lead a similar suburbs to downtown move when he was in charge of Hillshire Brands, which relocated from Downers Grove to the West Loop three years ago, Crain's reports. No one knows how many employees are at ConAgra's Naperville HQ currently, but the Merchandise Mart lease hints at a complete relocation. [Crain's]
