CityGate: Spec Vindication

Yesterday, one of the last spec buildings built before the recession reached 90% occupancy. Calamos Real Estate's four-year-old, 212k SF CityGate Centre in Naperville signed a new 51k SF lease to RSA Medical.
 
We're told this is the building and not the most ornate greenhouse we've ever seen. J.F. McKinney's Dru Shoemaker repped Calamos, while Grubb & Ellis' Sven Sykes and Rick Morris repped the tenant. The LEED Silver building is just off Route 59 and I-88. The tenant, a medical risk underwriter and consulting firm, signed for the wholesixth floor and part of the fifth at 2135 CityGate Lane, a part of the mixed-use complex. Owner John Calamos says it reaffirms the relevance of such centers.
