Blackstone Group Grabs River North Point In $390M Deal

Blackstone Group is adding to its Chicago real estate portfolio. The global private equity giant agreed to buy River North Point (formerly the Apparel Center) in a $390M deal. Shorenstein Properties hired brokers from New York-based Eastdil Secured to market the 1.3M SF building at 350 N Orleans to potential buyers, Crain's Chicago Business reports. Blackstone’s $1.3B purchase of Willis Tower is also nearing completion. [CCB]
