Residents of the Alta at K Station celebrated the opening of the eighth floor rooftop pool last weekend. Granted it was a Polar Plunge in 47-degree temps. Participants donated $5 each to the Red Cross for tsunami relief in Japan. The 848-unit complex earned its developer, Fifield Cos, the Developer of the Year award at thegreater Chicago Food Depository Awards last month. Video of the plunge is available here.
