An Acton-based product development company is moving its headquarters to Boxborough.

Product Insight Inc. signed a 21K SF lease at 80 Central St. in the Tech Central business park, the Worcester Business Journal reports.

Product Insight will be moving from 1 Post Office Square in Acton. The firm, which specializes in product development for a variety of industries, including biotech, had a "challenging set of facility requirements," but 80 Central St.'s drive-in door helped resolve those issues, WBJ reported.

The company specializes in the design and engineering of products and has designed electric vehicle chargers, biotech products and food-saving products, according to its website.

Tech Central is a two-building campus off Route 2 and I-495. The 80 Central St. building is 149K SF and was built in 1988 and renovated in 1999, according to a JLL property flyer, while 90 Central St. is 175K SF and was built in 2001.

Piedmont Office Realty Trust owns Tech Central along with four other office properties in Burlington. The office REIT sold its 97K SF One Brattle Square building in Cambridge's Harvard Square to Beacon Capital Partners for $81M in December.

The Atlanta-based firm also has properties in Dallas, Minneapolis, New York, Washington, D.C., and Orlando, Florida. Greater Boston Commercial Properties' James Keefe represented Product Insight in the lease.
