United Way Community Builder volunteers are doing projects like analyzing the feasibility of converting a garage into office space for the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corp. They started that last spring and expect to complete it this fall, says HFF’s Ben Sayles. As befits a recovering economy, United Way Community Builders volunteer ranks grew by 40% over the past 12 months, and Ben says that the group expects to nearly double its '11 fundraising effort by collecting $15k to $20k this year. |
