Colliers/Boston partner Lisa Campoli, after 30 years in the industry, is launching her own real estate investment firm, Ella Properties—a “tip of the hat” to the late Ella Fitzgerald (a favorite performer). There’s ample capital, and the urban infill markets she’s targeting are poised for “exceptional growth,” she tells us. She’s been a broker for 15 years, most recently as the leader of Colliers investment sales team. She tells us she's in a position to take some financial risk, having achieved some financial success, while accumulating valuable experience and contacts.
At Colliers, she built teams that led to memorable deals. In ’06, they sold the Boston Wharf portfolio for $92M—a blockbuster exchange and a watershed in the transition of sleepy Fort Point into the glam Seaport District. She engineered the American Red Cross’ sale of one building and purchase of another, less costly HQ in the South End that was a financial “home run” for the non-profit. In ’08, Lisa’s team repped a family trust to sell the Cambridge Life Science Portfolio to MIT for $90M. Lisa is closing a few more deals for Colliers and plans to take the leap in two months.
