CUMMINGS' $900M GIFT

In May, Cummings Properties' Joyce and Bill Cummings pledged to give away $900M, half of their personal fortune, much of it reaped developing and managing CRE, often on Rte 128. They signed on to a pledge list set up by Warren Buffet and Bill and Melinda Gates. But philanthropy is nothing new for this power couple. In ?86, they launched the Cummings Foundation, one of Massachusetts? largest philanthropic organizations.
