We held our first Bisnow Houston event Thursday for a packed crowd of 400 at Greenway Plaza, featuring Hines SW region CEO Mark Cover, Brookfield Houston and SoCal head Paul Layne, Transwestern regional President Chip Clarke, leading tenant rep Charles Gordon of CB, noted developer David Hudson of Duke, and key CRE attorney Clark Thompson of Bracewell Giuliani. Consensus: They're lucky to be in Houston, and things are definitely picking up—though they wish United/Continental would pick Houston as the new HQ rather than the rumored Chicago.
