| We went to Atlantic Wharf last week for its first public event, an art exhibit. There we snapped the artist, CBT?s Richard Bertman and landlord Boston Properties' Mike Cantalupa and Jon Randall. The reception was in the Nelson Court, which features a soaring, glass atrium ceiling and dramatic falling water installation. Mike tells us he's very excited about Boston Properties' plans to use thespace for a series of other events. Richard, whose firm designed Atlantic Wharf, says he's very pleased with the complex of new and historic buildings, housing offices (85% leased), rental apartments, and retail. |
| At the party, we ran into CBT?s Christopher Hill and Ellensweig?sCatherine Hunt. In April, Chris expects that site prep will start onCharlesview, a residential project he designed for The Community Builders. Several years in the making, the project involves a complex land swap with Harvard. Chris says the plan is for 240 rental apartments, 100 ownership units, retail, and community space. He's also working on a master plan, residences, and dining facilities for Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. |
