| We love to see our readers on the road in our other markets. AtBisnow's New York Multifamily Summit late last week, we spotted Reznick Group's Bill Riley and Jonette Hahn, up from Baltimore. They were anxiously awaiting Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition's Housing Day (the waiting is over; it's today!) in Annapolis. Jonette is on the coalition's board (Bill is on the New York State Association for Affordable Housing board), and Reznick Group is a Sustaining Sponsor. One of the big pieces of legislation they're behind is Rental Housing Works. Jonette describes the $15M general obligation bond as a new funding mechanism that provides gap financing for affordable housing projects for which rent rolls and available financing otherwise wouldn't justify development. |
