CONGRATS RAND!

Retiring COPT CEO Rand Griffin will receive NAIOP Maryland's Lifetime Achievement Award at the organization's Awards of Excellence Gala on April 19. Rand has worked in CRE for 39 years, the past 19 as head of Constellation Real Estate and then its successor COPT. He also was VP of development for EuroDisney in France and served on the National Aquarium of Baltimore's board. (Talk about having fun at work!) COPT breaks the mold with its Lifetime Achievement Award winners by sneaking in the rare honoree who doesn't have an eponymous company; previous winners are Bavar Properties Group's David Bavar, Emory Hill Real Estate's Clay Emory, Manekin's Bernard and Harold Manekin, Merritt Properties' Leroy Merritt, St. John Properties' Ed St. John, and COPT's Dwight Taylor.
