Dog Lovers Meet Music Lovers

What happens when you combine music lovers with dog lovers? They make music, of course! Cushman & Wakefield's Randy Beavers has organized the Battle of the Bands with such local rockers as the Freshtones, Leander's Daughter and The Quaildogs. The event—Aug. 26 at Terminal West in King Plow—will benefit Southeastern Guide Dogs, an organization that trains dogs to help the disabled. That's in part thanks to C&W's Allegra Bel Embley—John O'Neill's assistant—who has a puppy underneath her desk all day for the SGD's raise-a-puppy program. More info on the event can be found here.
