Who's Adding (Even More) To Buckhead's Bulging Multifamily Pipeline?

Gables Residential put a piece of Buckhead Village land under contract for what could be that submarket's latest apartment project. Already, more than 5,000 new units are planned or underway. (That may seem like a lot, but it actually means Buckhead potlucks will have 5,300 varieties of chili, instead of a boring 5,000.)

Gables is under contract with Robert Loudermilk Sr. (here) for two acres at the northeast corner of East Paces Ferry Road and Maple Drive. Gables' Joe Wilber tells us the new multifamily project, just a stone's throw from the Alliance Residential's Broadstone Maple project underway is in the early design stages, meeting with neighborhood groups. So far, the developer is considering around 300 units.
