Trade Street Buys Alpharetta Apartment

A Florida-based apartment operator has purchased its second Atlanta holding. Trade Street Residential bought Waterstone at Big Creek, a 270-unit luxury Alpharetta apartment complex for $40.5M. According to documents filed with the SEC, Trade Street purchased the property in two phases, the second phase—composed of 100 vacant units in three buildings—closed in March for $15M. We first reported the initial purchase here, which was part of a larger portfolio that also included a luxury apartment community in Raleigh that totaled more than $70M. The firm also owns Pointe at Canyon Ridge in Sandy Springs, next to the, uh, Sandy Springs...umm...canyon.
