Ashton Woods Reveals Plans for Mercedes Campus, Neighborhood

Ashton Woods has offered more details on its plans for what will be a combined residential neighborhood and Mercedes-Benz HQ in Sandy Springs. The homebuilder filed a DRI with the Georgia Department of Community Services, which evaluates projects with a regional impact, for 6615 and 6565 Glenridge Dr, the 76-acre site owned by the Mayson family that includes the historic Glenridge Hall mansion. According to DRI filings, Ashton Woods plans for 281 townhomes, 378 flats, 399 apartments, 36,400 SF in commercial space and 460k SF in office space. While not stated explicitly, it's largely expected part or all of the office will be for Mercedes.

The project, which is expected to have full build-out by 2025, is the latest—and perhaps biggest—Ashton Woods project in Central Perimeter. It also recently purchased two parcels in Sandy Springs—one of which includes a Buddhist meditation center—for what could ultimately become a 35-unit townhouse project, as we first reported here.
