Newnan Golf Course Poised for Massive Industrial Conversion

A longtime Newnan area golf course could soon be shouting its final “fore,” as Meadows Development Corp—a longtime Atlanta developer headed by Andy Howard and John Bourbonnis—looks to turn the nearly 300-acre gently rolling greens of Orchard Hills Golf Club into a massive industrial mixed-use park.

We spoke with Vaughn & Melton's Frans Van Leeuwen regarding a DRI application filed recently (he's representing Meadows in the redevelopment). Frans says the golf club will operate for a few more years, but eventually Meadows hopes to transform it into 3M SF of industrial and 290k SF of other commercial uses along State Route 16 in Coweta County. Calls to Meadows were not returned as of press time.
