A national industrial developer has snagged a huge industrial lease on the outskirts of Atlanta with Post Consumer Brands.
First Industrial Realty developed a 700K SF build-to-suit distribution center for the food-making giant, known for such brands as Hostess, Honey Bunches of Oats and Raisin Bran, Regional Director Corey Richardson said during Bisnow's Industrial & Logistics Summit in Atlanta last week.
The project is in Fairburn, a city 20 miles south of Downtown Atlanta.
Post — which eyed other states for the distribution project — is able to expand the warehouse project to 1.3M SF at some point in the future, Richardson said.
“Ultimately, the focus became speed-to-market [and] flexibility,” Richardson said.
