Porsche. Mercedes-Benz. Now Atlanta is bringing another car brand to its skyline: Peugeot.

French multinational automotive manufacturer Groupe PSA, which makes Peugeot as well as Citroen, DS, Opel and Vauxhall Motors vehicles, has selected Atlanta for its North American headquarters, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal announced Tuesday morning.

“We looked at every aspect of the Atlanta community and found it to be the most suitable location for us,” PSA North America President Larry Dominique said in a press release. “While the overall business environment, standard of living and university system played an important part in our decision, our unique needs in terms of technology, mobility innovation and car culture ultimately identified Atlanta as our perfect choice.”

Officials did not identify where Groupe PSA would locate, beyond being in Fulton County, or how many square feet it would lease.

This is the third major automotive headquarters to name Atlanta home.

In 1997, Porsche moved its North American headquarters to Sandy Springs, an affluent suburb just outside the city. In 2015, the luxury car maker opened a new $100M North American headquarters and experience facility, complete with a test track, at the Aerotropolis development near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Then in 2015, Mercedes-Benz announced it was moving its U.S. headquarters from New Jersey to Atlanta. It is in the process of developing its headquarters in Sandy Springs.
