It definitely looks like Shannon Mall won't be so mall-y anymore. (Teenagers from the '80s are furious!) Rooker Co revealed details of its Shannon Mall redevelopment plans to regional planners in a recent filing that detail how Rooker plans to raze the mall and in turn develop a 1.2M SF industrial campus.
This is the final nail in the coffin to a long death for one of Atlanta's suburban malls. Shannon was most recently renamed Union Station Mall when Reality TV celeb Lee Najjar operated it. Of course, he infamously stopped paying the electric bill in 2010 and the mall fell into foreclosure. Rooker ultimately picked it up earlier this year.
