STAR-STUDDED LEASE (MAYBE)

Forget Hollywood. Soon the A-listers will be at Lakewood. OK, we're being a bit dramatic, but we're excited that, according to today's AJC, Atlanta officials are close to leasing the Lakewood Fairgrounds to a movie company. (The above pic was taken a few years back when Lakewood was merely home to a well-known antiques market.) These latest negotiations are another sign that Georgia's new tax breaks—a 30% credit for film production spending—are having an impact. Some stars have already worked here (we're talking about you, Sandy Bullock!) and we've got our eye out for more.
