POOL, ANYONE?

The high yesterday was 78, not quite warm enough to swim, but balmy enough for Regent Partners' Keith Mack and Kristi Torgler to have their pic taken atop Sovereign, the swanky condo development at 3344 Peachtree. They would like to up the 20% (of 82 units) that have sold since opening 18 months ago. Regent Partners developed and owns the mixed-use tower in the heart of Buckhead. The tower?s office space has fared quite well, perhaps because it came to market well before several competing towers opened. As for the condos, Kristi tells us she has plenty of buyers ready to sign as soon as they sell their single-family homes: "It's such a domino effect."
Here?s Keith again, in one of the model units. So is Atlanta's luxury condo market improving? ?We're getting a ton of traffic,? he tells us. ?At this price point ($1M to $3.5M) it is still a buyer?s market.? Sovereign?s biggest competition is the St. Regis, though the two properties are quite different, Kristi says. The St. Regis has a more traditional feel and also a hotel component.
