Boston v. Atlanta

When we ran into ULI Atlanta chief Jeff DuFresne late last week at Goldberg?s, we had to ask him how this month?s ULI?s Spring Council Forum in Boston compared with the one he hosted last year in Atlanta. The mood in Boston, Jeff tells us, was upbeat because of the buzz of pending recovery. Also, attendance in Boston was 3,100, or 700 more than the year before in Atlanta—?a positive sign in itself.? Jeff and about 120 other ULI Atlanta members made the trek to Boston, where highlights included Sam Zell hammering home the point that real estate is all about supply and demand and fellow Atlantan Ron Terwilliger?s  ?Terwilliger Cost Calculator? that helps Bostonians figure out the true costs of housing and transportation.
