Chris Ahrenkiel  of  Tishman Speyer has reason to celebrate today. A new tenant, Novelis, is taking 100K SF on four floors at Two Alliance Center (the actual building, not the model Chris is posing with). Chris repped ownership, while a Jones Lang team of Rob Metcalf, Brannan Moss and Shannon Gordon did so for Novelis. The lease has a lengthy term of 14 years and is the second six-figure lease for Tishman at Two Alliance. Last year, Marsh selected the tower for its new Atlanta home.

This morning we snapped this of Two Alliance Center. The Novelis move means more jobs in Atlanta. The company is moving its North American HQ from Cleveland and consolidating it with world HQ, already in metro Atlanta. Novelis says it expects to add 220 employees in Atlanta by the end of the year. A subsidiary of Asia?s Hindalco Industries, the firm supplies premium aluminum sheet and foil to car companies and others. It has 12,000 employees in 11 countries, and reported revenue of $10 billion in its fiscal 2009.
