Just weeks after announcing it would move into the commercial real estate world, Compass has tapped former Eastern Consolidated broker Robin Abrams.

Abrams and her team — known as Abrams Retail Strategies — will build the firm’s commercial leasing and advisory services, Compass announced Tuesday. Brokers Lisa Rosenthal, Rebecca Olshan, Herman Glaswand, Curtis Woodside and Alexander Vellios are joining as part of the team.

Fellow Eastern alum Adelaide Polsinelli joined Compass earlier this month.

“Our first priority is always a hands on, service-oriented approach for our clients,” Abrams said in a release. “We were immediately drawn to Compass and their dedication to agent support and cutting-edge technology, which will allow us to continue providing our clients with thoughtful and creative results.”

Eastern Consolidated closed in June, putting more than 100 brokers and staffers onto the market.

Adam Hakim and James Murad, former managing directors at Eastern, have joined Meridian Capital Group. James Famularo joined Meridian to run retail leasing there.

Brian Ezratty and Ron Solarz signed with Newmark Knight Frank last week.

David Chase and DJ Johnson jumped from Cushman & Wakefield to Paul Massey’s newly formed brokerage, B6 Real Estate Advisors.
