Harbor Group Back in the Game

New York Multifamily

Over drinks at Tavern 51 at The Palace Hotel, we snapped JLL’s Brett Rosenberg and Harbor Group International’s Lane Shea, whose company made a big splash last week with the $157M acquisition of 55 Broadway. It bought the 90%-leased, 359k SF office building from Broad Street Development after more than a year without a major NYC acquisition and intends to reposition the street-level retail and mezzanine space.

We also snapped our host, JLL’s Chris Espenshade, her colleague Maggie Coleman, JP Morgan’s Hilary Bullard, and Vornado’s Charlotte Davis. Maggie’s team is growing the company’s NYC metro mortgage brokerage business, and Chris, who’s based in Baltimore, heads JLL’s affordable housing platform and its Baltimore multifamily group. She has $800M worth of deals (10 assets) in the hopper and closed $215M in Q1 in Ashburn, Va., Prince George’s County, Md., and Philadelphia. Also in Q1, Chris hit Disney World with her two kids, where she had the pleasure of dining with Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First.
