A deal worth more than $100M to sell the Brooklyn Hospital Center's largest building is near.

The 21-story, 150k SF property at 240 Willoughby St saw offers of up to $115M, according to Crain’s. Bids were due last week.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Bob Knakal is repping the hospital in an auction to sell the Maynard Building. Its current use includes medical office space and apartments used by hospital employees.

Zoning would permit a buyer to tear down the building, reportedly Brooklyn’s oldest hospital, and build a residential tower more than twice as tall, totaling as much as 330k SF.

A private entrance to Fort Greene Park could be included in a development plan. The hospital, which will stay in the facility through 2019, has a plan to put the money from the sale toward new facilities. [Crain’s]
