Worldwide Plaza
Anchor away to Midtown! In one of the largest leases this year,Nomura Holding America announced it is relocating from 2 World Financial Center to 900k SF of space at Worldwide Plaza in mid-’13—half of the Class-A office tower’s 1.8M SF. It will be taking 10 vacant floors, as well as 10 floors presently occupied by Universal Music Group, which is leaving this year. The lease brings the building to over 95% occupancy. Cushman & Wakefield’s John Cefaly, Rob Lowe, Clark Finney, Anthony Pasqual, Ed Donery, and David Heller repped the tenant in the 20-year deal, while George Comfort & Sons CEO Peter Duncan and Matt Coudert repped ownership (George Comfort & Sons, RCG Longview, and DRA Advisors) in-house. This is the second major relocation this week; Monday, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers announced it was relocating from 3 Park Ave to nearly 100k SF at 2 Park Ave.
