MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE
Alexander Meinhold, Joey Vlasto, and Victor Liu at the American Museum of Natural History, Rose Center for Earth and Science, Cullman Hall of the Universe on March 7, 2012
At a CoreNet cocktail party at the American Museum of Natural History's Rose Center for Earth and Science, specifically the Cullman Hall of the Universe (hence the ethereal background), we snapped Jefferies & Co's Alexander Meinhold, Newmark Knight Frank's Joey Vlasto, and Hearst's Victor Liu. Victor was the lead project manager on the Hearst Tower's greening, which became the first NYC office to earn LEED Gold for new construction and later LEED Platinum for existing buildings. He also tells us Hearst just turned 125. Crazy—it seems like just yesterday when Hearst Corp and the Interstate Commerce Commission were sharing a playpen.
Mohhamed Atif Shehzad, Tom Krizmanic, and Brian Schwagerl at the American Museum of Natural History, Rose Center for Earth and Science, Cullman Hall of the Universe on March 7, 2012
We also snapped Atriade's Mohammed Atif Shehzad, Studios Architecture's Tom Krizmanic, and lawyer Brian Schwagerl, who tells us he was using his best legal skills to persuade the others to join him in mentoring the asset management students in his spring NYU Schack class. Mohammed's tech consulting firm is following the wave of security growth in higher ed and utilities, finalizing a 10-year infrastructure roadmap for a Big Ten university and working on a five-year strategic security plan for a large utility. More important, though, his volleyball team is vying for a playoff spot.
Kristen McGowan and Vivian Aronica at the American Museum of Natural History, Rose Center for Earth and Science, Cullman Hall of the Universe on March 7, 2012
The Advance Group's Kristen McGowan (with colleague Vivian Aronica) is listed on her business card as a sustainable relocation strategist. What that means, she tells us, is that she helps owners and tenants donate everything that's not welded to the floor (and sometimes that, too) and to get those handy tax write-offs. Hotels, in particular, are a treasure trove, she says.
Barbara Iannucci, Deirdre Fenlon, Noreen Heyer, and Tara Krolick at the American Museum of Natural History, Rose Center for Earth and Science, Cullman Hall of the Universe on March 7, 2012
We also snapped Knoll's Barbara Iannucci, Edelman's Deirdre Fenlon, EvensonBest's Noreen Heyer, and Edelman's Tara Krolick.
