Finish Line Sales Fueled By Adidas Success

Finish Line’s Q2 earnings surged to their highest levels in seven years despite a very weak retail environment.

The athletic gear retailer reported sales rose 2.3% to $453.5M, and attributed the strong sales to the success of the Adidas brand, Bloomberg reports.

“The Adi brand itself has a ton of momentum (and) the excitement around that brand globally is very high,” says Finish Line CEO Sam Sato.

The retailer’s strong sales comes at a time when the industry as a whole is retooling amidst e-commerce competitors and a challenging consumer environment. [Bloomberg]
