King Of E-Commerce Pushes Expansion Out West

As classic department store anchors fade away, Amazon is continuing its expansion—the firm is adding a 10th fulfillment center in California.

The 855k SF facility in Sacramento’s Metro Air Park will open next year and focus on picking, packing and shipping smaller items like toys, electronics and books, Commercial Property Executive reports. The e-commerce king has added four fulfillment centers in the state over the last four years and currently employs more than 14,000 Californians.
