The $1B One Beverly Hills Development Could Break Ground In 2017

Plans are progressing for the former home of the Robinsons-May store at 9900 Wilshire Blvd near the Los Angeles Country Club.

While it was announced last year that a five-star hotel will be added to the proposed $1B condo development, now it looks like the groundbreaking will be in early 2017. The project, called One Beverly Hills, is being developed by the Wanda Group and its partner, the Athens Group.

The Wanda Group bought the property, which sits on eight acres, in 2014 for $420M, according to Urbanize LA.

It is slated to have a 134-room hotel and 193 luxury condos, as well as restaurants, event space, meeting rooms, green space, terraces on the roof and 1,140 parking spaces.

Richard Meier & Partners Architects is designing the project.

Construction is expected to take about 30 months, with a projected completion date of around 2020. [ULA]
