DC: What to Expect from the CityCenter Hotel

National Hotel
Placeholder

Last week, Hines and its Qatari investment partners confirmed what had been rumored for some time: that CityCenter's new hotel will don Hilton's Conrad brand. And while some experts believe the hotel (which Hines and Qatar Diar should break ground on next year) could cater to crowds from the nearby convention center, Hines' Michael Allen tells us the property will be more geared to "sophisticated business and leisure travelers" and private/corporate groups. (So Star Trek fans from the convention center might feel a little out of place, but that's pretty par for the course for them.) Whomever ends up staying at the 370-room hotel (to be completed by 2017) will have some high-end retail options downstairs: Hines says 70k SF of large-format retail space will grace the ground floor.
