Multifamily might be booming at home, but that isn't keeping South Florida investors at home. Miami-based Ytech International recently acquired five multifamily properties in Houston totaling 1,312 units for $35M, and Ytech CEO Yamal Char tells us that it's a good place for value-add investors to be on the hunt. "We targeted the Houston for its strong fundamentals," he notes. "The economy's growing more than most places, and so is its population." (That explains the longer lines at the post office.) If you can find the right value-add properties, those are the ingredients for rental growth.
