However, the holidays can be a mixed bag for restaurants, according to Cushman & Wakefield executive director of retail services Leslie Mayer.

While some may have to pay overtime to their employees, "there is always a market for diners on Christmas Eve and Day, especially to complement the new movie releases," Leslie told Bisnow.

Leslie said "high-end set menus fare well on Christmas Eve, and the middle-of-the-road price point resonates with families" for brunch or late lunch on Christmas Day.

Here are a few restaurants and food halls hoping to woo diners preparing to stay out of the kitchen during the holidays.

1. Cafe Sierra

Cafe Sierra at the Universal City Hilton aims to go all-out for the holidays.

The restaurant promises a menu with a holiday flair Christmas weekend.

However, seats at the ever-popular venue are booking up fast.

Christmas Eve is already sold out, but there's space available on Christmas Day to indulge at the buffet for $65/person.

2. Culina Restaurant

Culina Restaurant at the Four Seaons Hotel LA at Beverly Hills will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The restaurant, known for its modern Italian food, will be serving a prix fixe menu for $95 on Christmas Eve, along with the regular menu.

The buffet brunch, at $119/person, will be on deck from 11am to 6pm on Christmas.


3. The Original Farmers Market

The Original Farmers Market at The Grove in the Fairfax District will be open on Christmas Eve but closed on Christmas Day.

The market was recently voted as one of the Top 20 Food Halls of America, according to a report by Cushman & Wakefield Research.

Food halls are a growing dining trend with growth increasing by around 37%, year-over-year, in the first nine months of 2016, according to the report.

The Original Farmers Market houses more than 35 eateries. It was No. 9 on the report.

4. Grand Central Market

No. 10 on the Top 20 Food Halls of America report was Grand Central Market in DTLA.

With nearly 40 vendors, ranging from Japanese to barbecue, there will surely be something to whet the appetite of savvy shoppers in downtown LA.

Grand Central Market will be open on Christmas Eve but closed on Christmas.

5. Izzy's Deli

For those looking for a low-key restaurant during the holidays, Izzy's Deli in Santa Monica will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

With its variety of deli options, it has something to offer everyone and will be open 24 hours.
