New Development Proposed In South LA

Placeholder

A new apartment building is being proposed one block from the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.

The project, which is being developed by Abraham Shofet and designed by SCALA Architecture & Planning, would be built where a vacant medical office now sits at 3831 West Stocker St.

Abraham's firm, JMDB Holdings, would build a four-story building with 74 studio, one- and two-bedroom dwellings, Urbanize LA reports.

The development would rely on density bonus incentives in exchange for seven units of very-low-income housing.

Earlier plans called for a 124-unit property. [ULA]
