Hotel Mixed-Use Planned Near Future Soccer Stadium

With the MLS expansion team LAFC's proposal for a $250M soccer stadium in Exposition Park and USC's plans to renovate the LA Memorial Coliseum, another building project is now on the horizon.

Irvine's Spectrum Group has requested an environmental assessment from the City of LA for a proposed mixed-use project across the street from the soccer stadium.

The six-story project, known as "The Fig," would be built on a 4.42-acre site (3900 S Figueroa St). It would include hotel rooms and student housing, according to Urbanize LA.

The proposed podium-style building would replace a parking lot on Figueroa Street as well as some nearby apartment buildings. [ULA]
