Luxury stone and tile firm Walker Zanger just moved from its former Sun Valley location into a new headquarters in North Hills.

The two-story lobby (above) of the custom-designed, 127k SF building at 16719 Schoenborn St features a Walker Zanger-designed 20-foot diameter water jet-cut limestone floor medallion.

Walker Zanger executive director of facilities Kim Bernard tells Bisnow the company's daily operational needs helped dictate the "spatial design and shape" of the headquarters.

The building, designed by SRK Architects, showcases a variety of the company's tile collections as well as natural marble and stone slabs.

The goal was to have the company's clients, including designers and suppliers, enter the building at a centralized point and be able to go directly into the showroom or have direct access to a conference room without interfering with the building's traffic flow, Kim says.

The new building also features LED lighting and skylights, electric car-charging ports and bicycle storage lockers.

Kim describes the new facility as state-of-the-art and suitable for Walker Zanger's needs for years to come. The headquarters also includes a 91k SF warehouse.
