A Closer Look At AEG's Plans For LA Live Expansion

Placeholder

AEG officially filed plans last month for its $500M expansion of the JW Marriott at LA Live. Now the plans will be presented to the DTLA Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee.

The project includes a 38-story tower with 755 guest rooms and 17,800 SF of retail space, according to Urbanize LA. Gensler is designing the project. There will be a fitness center, a rooftop swimming pool and an amenity deck.

Two floors also will be built on top of the Olympic West Parking Garage, creating an additional 170k SF of meeting and event space. The plans include linking the buildings with pedestrian bridges. [ULA]

A bridge for pedestrians over Olympic Boulevard would link the expansion to the current building.
