Single-Family Spec Luxury Lending In Los Angeles Takes A New Turn

Placeholder

Los Angeles carries with it a touch of mystique, largely stemming from the influence of Hollywood and the countless celebrities who have made the city their home.

If LA real estate seems larger-than-life, it is for this very reason. Beachfront condos, mansions and houses overlooking Sunset Boulevard are the stuff of dreams — yet they exist, and someone has to live in them.

Colorado Federal Savings Bank has made a name for itself in the speculative residential market in Los Angeles by adding luxury residential properties to an already impressive roster of financed projects.

Newest on this list? 8365 Sunset View Drive, a partnership with legendary architect Roman James, of Roman James Design Build, and Brian Wilson. The home is perched above the famous Sunset Boulevard and minutes from the Chateau Marmont, with an unobstructed view from Downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean.

The completed home will include high-end finishes, a vehicle art gallery with showcase turntable, an infinity edge pool, seamless connection of the living spaces to private outdoor terraces on all levels, and a roof deck.

Colorado Federal has become well-known in the world of speculative residential lending. The firm has financed the acquisition and construction of homes from coast to coast, closing on 8365 Sunset View Drive in LA and a deal in Hamptons, N.Y., just last month. Committing to their position as the “builder’s lender” by establishing and maintaining its relationships with top-tier builders has been central to its success. Colorado Federal’s relationship with Roman James and Brian Wilson is just one example.

Roman James is known for his multimillion-dollar projects, often bid on by celebrities, millionaires and personalities such as Markus Persson, the Swedish founder and creator of Minecraft, and Reinout Oerlemans, the creative mind behind NBC reality show "The Biggest Loser."

8365 Sunset View has already broken ground and is projected to reach completion in spring 2018.
