I-Fei Chang President & CEO, Greenland USA
Taiwan-born I-Fei Chang wasted no time when she was made CEO and president of Greenland USA, the recently established US arm of Shanghai-based Greenland Group. She immediately took on two billion-dollar projects: In Downtown LA, Metropolis is a 4.3M SF luxury landmark with condos, hotels, and retail; and New York's Pacific Park Brooklyn is a mixed-use project that includes 14 towers of residential and commercial buildings with a public park. After graduating from Yale—with two master’s degrees in tow—I-Fei’s career took her to places like Japan, where she worked as project manager for two art museums, and Russia, where she was in charge of business development, design, and technology for the $4B master-planned community Baltic Pearl. Now with Greenland for the second time, she’s excited about the company’s vision for properties that both transform communities and exemplify modern living. At one time, I-Fei thought of herself as a sole surfer, battling waves and sailing the seas alone. Now she sees herself as the captain of a ship. Her advice: think deeply about what you're trying to achieve, and be prepared for some challenging moments.
